Launched out of Cedar Mills in the fog. Hit some points till the fog lifted w no takers. Went out and tried deadsticking just north of Goose island. My friend Garry hooked one, and I hooked one. Just as I got mine in, i see one of my favorite curados head over the side of the boat. Fingers touched the handle as it dissapeared into the depths. Scotty 1, fish 1! My friend Ryan picked up a nice 5lb'er.

We ended our drift and saw some birds working over by the Juniper flats. Headed over there and only picked up 1 dink. By now the wind is kickin. Tried some more deadsticking in the channel just east of Goose and Garry picked up a 10.8 lb striper. Great fight.

By now it is noon and the wind is gaining speed. Headed back towards Cedar Mills and saw a few birds working by FFA point. Tried deadsticking one more time and I hooked into an 11.3 lb fish.

All big fish released to fight another day. Not a banner day but we each caught a nice one!

Todd, even w 2 drift socks out it was hard to find areas where we could drift less than 1 mph. I am ok w 0.7 mph. It was tough out there!
