I have an old Skeeter and it still rides good and is in good shape.

I don't get why people ask what rod, reel or boat to buy. Not capable of doing the research? The same opinions are all over the place...

I don't get why people that don't want to contribute feel like they need to run their suck...

Now...why not?

Because the sound they make running across some chop reminds me too much of date night at Ray Rice's house.

You dated Ray Rice, and the sound of a Skeeter running across chop brings back memories of date night....If that a positive memory or a negative memory.

The question was WHY Skeeter, not WHY NOT Skeeter.

Skeeter is the easiest boat to fish out of. They sit low to water and make it easy to pitch off off. Because they don't sit 2ft out of water like other boats they don't catch so much wind a blow around like crazy. I hate high gunnels like rangers and legends have. Storage is simple and Maximizes usable space. Rides good and haven't had any issues with stress cracks or other stuff and she is 10 years old

What is your definition of research? Isn't asking actual users on a forum a form of research?

Yeah I would hate for the dude to get some actual feedback from current skeeter owners. That would be turrible

The best feature of my 21 I is the way it handles rough water. All my buddies go faster than me but when it's rough they all want to go with me!!

The best thing about a Skeeter everyone will put them in the top two or three boats they would want even if they don't own one. They are a great boat. I had a 20I I wasn't in love with that boat but I really like the FX21 its one of three top boats in my opinion. I know all of the comments above about the FX's are dead on just a great boat.

I just bought a Skeeter - 2013 with super low hours. Love the ride, love the SHO.

Retractable strap broke the first trip out and is not easily fixed, both rod lockers and front deck dry storage leaks, and the drivers side console already has stress cracks....jury is out for me - I will let you know if being in Texas helps me get this stuff taken care of, certainly don't mind driving to the factory - that is certainly a plus that it is just a couple hours away.

I will say this...my boat is good looking!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Just turrible....and lazy, agreed. Majority of feedback will be pro SKEETER, but you already thought that one through....very smart.

Mine is the first true bass boat I've owned, so if you're looking for comparisons of Skeeter vs other boat brands...I'm not your guy. And, when the time comes for me to part with this one and get my second bass boat...I still won't be your guy.
