I am absolutely disgusted! While on his way home from a job, my Dad stopped by BPS San Antonio to pick up a few things and someone decided that his work truck would look better in a chop shop and sold on Craigslist than what my Dad could use it for, his livelihood. This happened in broad daylight!! The SAPD didn't even talk to my Dad in person and BPS claims that nothing showed up on surveillance cameras. Folks in the San Antonio area and south, please keep your eyes open for a white F450 truck with an auto crane mounted on the drivers side. It also has a Miller welder mounted on the passenger side. If it hasn't already been painted, on both doors, it has Fuzzy's Welding Service in blue print along with his contract number. If seen please report to the police. Thank you!

That seems to be the general consensus, with all the money we spend at BPS, one would think they could at least upgrade their surveillance cameras.

Sorry for y'all's troubles.
Maybe if the media gets wind of it, they can investigate how many vehicle thefts and break-ins the BPS in San Antonio has. That might help BPS corporate get it's act together and update the security cameras in the parking lot.
I bet if they had too much merchandise slipping off the shelves they would do something about that.

I have a friend that works for the Garland PD and she has warned me several times not to leave anything in my truck at BPS because it is a hot spot for break ins. She says BPS tops the charts in Garland for break ins.

The theives target trucks in the bps parking lots because they know many people are hunters, and may have firearms in the vehicles. I was told that during Christmas people have gone into bass pro in San Antonio waited in line and waited for background checks bought guns took them and locked them up in the car only to have their cars broke into. You know waiting in the gun area buy and go back in to finish any shopping and get what they may need. Crazy

So people buy guns go out and put them in the car and then go back in and shop. huh. I guess I am just different. The theives target trucks in the bps parking lots because they know many people are hunters, and may have firearms in the vehicles. It shouldn't matter how or how long people shop, the bottom line is BPS knows there is a problem and they are doing nothing to take preventative measures to protect it's patrons property while visiting their stores. I'm sorry but one guy on a bicycle isn't much of a deterrent to crooks! Personally, I think the security guys are probably in on the crimes. Who better to scope out possible targets than the guys that can ride around and look inside the vehicles while people shop?

Hate to read news like this. "Remember what goes around comes around." Hope everything works out in the long run.

Maybe we should email BPS and let them know that customer service extends outside the store. If we get together and email them and let them know we are starting a c ampaign to not shop the stores down here they will increase security.

That is an option I've been considering biscuits. I like being able to make a trip to San Antonio to do a little shopping for my tackle monkey, especially on days like today when it's nasty outside and I can't get on the water but it's not worth the trip if some idiot is just going to steal what I've work hard for. I do want to say thanks for the well wishes from this community, I know there are some sorry people out there but I feel with enough community support, we can make a difference.

My F350 was stolen from my driveway 2 months ago today. The real insult is when you find out how much your insurance provider is going to pay for replacement.
