Nothing good to report. Caught a dink and lost one that felt like a good one but it pulled off before I could see how big it was.

There's some good fishing there but the storms and cold weather has killed the fishing there. I'm there alMost every weekend. Good size bass in there and caught some good sized crappie by the MacArthur bridge. I don't keep anything but a fun place to go since I live in the area.

Which MacArthur bridge? I work off MacArthus and 114. Are you talking that area right as you exit 114 eastbound?

@TerribleTwos...not the bridge at 114 & MacArthur. Go down MacArthur until you get to Northlake College. There's a bridge that goes over the spillway which is on the opposite side of MacArthur from the golf course. Hope that helps!

Thanks Hotrodjrd! I was wondering because I see that spillway right off the feeder every morning when I go to work. I thought that was what you guys were talking about and was gonna bring a rod with me and go over lunch one of these days. Although that bridge down by Northlake isn't that far either. smile

The canal at 114 & MacArthur (behind Red Hot & Blue) sucks IMO. I fished up and down that entire canal and of all the trips I've caught one crappie and a catfish on a crankbait. Way too many gar in that canal. The canal down MacArthur by the Jefferson Park apartments (right before you get to Northlake) is OK fishing sometimes. It's in the Thomas Jefferson park. I park across the street at the McDonalds and walk down to the creek.

Fishing Northlake is probably the best fishing hole in the LC area.

HIt canals by LC blvd and O'Connor. 1 dink LMB, 2 decent yellow bass, and a LMB in the 2 lb range. Red/chartreuse hollow body crappie jig on 1/32 nd. oz. UNPAINTED jig head. UL gear, 6 lb test line. Caught between 10:30-11:00 PM. saw and heard much bigger fish(bass) smashing shad on the surface, but those behemoths skillfully managed to avoid my jig!

Are you talking about the little canal by the Schlotsky's with all the turtles?

caught 2 nice lmb's last night about 11 pm in the canals under Las Colinas Blvd, a stone's throw from the Mandalay. Still haven't found the crappie, but black and yellow bass are pretty active. Hooked four bass in a 20 minute span but only landed 2. Hollow body crappie jigs, tri-color, on 1/32nd oz jig heads.
