I am finally going fishing Saturday and Sunday, was wondering what has been working to catch fish on Rayburn. After two months with a broke leg I finally am going fishing! I'm not in a tournament, or any thing like that! I'm just a guy with a broke leg and finally get to go fish, I was thinking about going to veach...maybe throw a stick bait?

Caught this 5 rippin a trap through the grass, Carolina rig was gettin some action. Picked up a few on a half ounce white spinner bait, a lot of fish were following it back to the boat but wouldn't bite! Also I was fishing Caney creek/ mud creek area! Buddy of mine was jigging a spoon in the Black Forest catching a bunch of spots! Hope this helps, good luck!

Good one!!! They REALLY should know better than to even mention "SR". Well don't know if "they" know but I sure do..... "I" think it's stupid that no one can get info on Rayburn! It's just fun to stir the pot! LOL I really have broke my leg and if it wasn't for that I would have been fishing this fall and wouldn't have to ask where to fish, but I have a buddy coming with me this weekend I am gonna crawl into the boat then he can back me in the water and go fish. I couldn't ever do all that on my own with the GIMP leg. If I knew how to post a picture I guess I could show you the x-ray of my ankle! A plate on each side and thirteen screws holding it all together! It sucks! I should be able to start putting weight on it next week (I hope!) I am just ready to start walking again! You never realize how much you depend on both your legs, until you don't have the use of one!

Well since Rayburn is such a secrete here is some info. I have had very good consistent luck just about all over the lake. I have been doing 3 different thing and catching fish regularly even in the cold. If you launch out of Harvey you can fish eithe the Black Forest or bird island and what I have been doing in those areas are finding humps and fishing the wood that is closest to the hump or the bank if at bird. i have been dropping Texas rigged green pumpkin red and green pumpkin green baby brush hogs. If you get on the right trees you will catch multiple fish off of them. Watch close they are following each other up. Throw back with a weighted fluke to catch the followers. Also if you can get comfortable to throw deep cranks the points are really paying off as there are a lot of fish feeding. Hope this helps and have fun
