Just got a press release today from TRWD. Basically there are NO plans to release water from Lake Bridgeport until we get some rain.

You can still launch at the Runaway Bay Ramp, and should be able to through the winter. There is major work being done to renovate the spillway, lots of trucks hauling dirt....not opening the spillway.

The fishing has been great...lots of Hybrids, Some decent Sandies and serious Crappie being caught. The lake is actually quite safe, plenty of deep water, watch for an island in the middle of the lake.

Been driving past that lake a lot lately. Hope we all get a good drink next week, and all weeks following

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
