H&H Lures queen cocahoe in pearl on a hook; you can add a 1/16 oz weight but I like it weightless so you can flutter it slowly on the edges of reef and over potholes for big trout.

If using a hook I'll use a small 1/0 hook. If using a jighead I'll use a 1/16 oz short shanked jighead. I like to get as much flutter as possible. The queen cocahoe has enough weight to cast on its own, and is buoyant so it'll hover a bit over grass, structure, potholes etc. This combination has been a big trout catcher for me over the years.

If the current is swift and the water is deep and you want to work the deeper holes for big trout in the winter you can bump up the jighead weight to a 3/8 or 1/2 oz tout jighead.
