Went to the Eichelberger bridge again this morning, tried several jigs and minnows under slip corks around the laydowns and all around the bridge pillars and as usual Nothing!!!!! Not a single bite! Yet theres still activity in the water all around the area. I'm close to giving up on it. I don't know what else I could possibly try??

Are you varying your depth? Are you switching out colors? Using a smaller cork? The small changes you make to your presentation will entice them to bite. Try casting the bobber and slowly reel it in so it gives the jig and minnow a slow moving action. Try reeling in faster if no bites. Pop the cork now and then to entice a bite. Use spray on scents to help the jigs be smelled.
They are probably there. They literally want the jig in their face before they hit.

Try eliminating the float and vertical jig with a slow rise (very slow) Maybe they want it setting as still as possible.

Vertical Jigging:

try a slow rise
try keeping the jig as still as possible
try swimming the jig left to right/right to left slowly

they may be parked right up tight to the cover
we have found the fish over here doing that some
live bait should entice a strike or 2 when all else fails
but to be sure never give up
sometimes the very next trip is the bonanza thumb

Thanks guys for the good advice but I have done everything y'all have suggested. The first time out I used no bobber, just vertical jigging at various depths starting at the very bottom and slowly working my way up.and I casted some small spinners like roadrunners. The next time out which was yesterday I was using my go to rig ( a 1/16 oz hot pink jig head with several different varieties of shapes, colors, and sizes) still to no avail. I tried poppin and stoppin, slow draggin, and sitting still. I also used 3 different styles of thill balsa floats including the little touchy pencil style one. I mean I know my strength is definitely bass fishing but I'm by no means a push over when it comes to crappie fishin. But right now I'm feelin like a rookie!

Tis the season. A front just came through although it was not noticeable to a degree but it can and will shut the fish down. Be patient and stay with it. They will bite.

I don't believe they are there, cold front they pulled back into deeper water?

Its crappie fishing and at this time of the year it is hard try anything you got slow jig fast but slow read slow if you in a boat then its hard I think right now they like a sit and a twitch just saying. Soon they will like more action when that water get just a little cooler but then agin I don't have crappie in my freezer at this time LOL. And I have not been fishing at all as I am about to do. Also yes get in to them brush piles lose a jig or two and catch fish. They do eat all year around. Vertical Jigging is the trick in the next few months.

You seem to have a good setup so all I can suggest is be patient and give that water collum a work out and don`t under estimate the power of the bait enhancers 2cents
