$150... Although we didn't win anything, I was kinda questioning the payout! I mean, this was a championship tournament with alot of teams. We had a good time and enjoyed the friendship and that to me is worth something!

Wow that is pretty weak. I didn't see the payout or fish the tourney but that does sound a little on the low side to be nice about it.

I've noticed the last two years, especially his year that the championships have been pretty bad as far as I've seen. Now basschamps and TXTT is a different story. But the others are really bad. I understand it's a business and the trail has to make money. But for some of the payouts I've seen lately I think these trails need to reconsider if they are in the right business. The championship should be the one tourney at the end of the year where you have the chance to win some money back. But I know some trails put a big prize for 1st and then 2nd down isn't even 100% payback. It's 80%. They are still making money off the championship, not rewarding the anglers!

We didn't look at the payouts but you have to put fish in the boat to due that lol We had fun and I over heard some one talking about pay outs but man didn't realize it was that low!

Forney Bass Club had their Championship there last weekend with 23 boats and first place was almost $1800.

Bud Light Trail was one of the good ones as well paid guaranteed $10,000 for the win for a couple of their championships and even awarded Legend Boats on a couple as well. That was a big prize.

At the end of the day tournament anglers have to realize this tournament promoting / tournaments is a BUSINESS and if your not happy you take your business elsewhere.

Well FOM numbers are up. It looks like BLT numbers r down. How far down does FOM pay? That could be the difference.

Makes sense. Either way, out of $15,750 for entries, $13,275 was paid back to the fishermen. Roughly an 85% payback. Like pinesjunkie said, it is a great organization and a great way to get kids involved in tournament fishing.
