Chatterbait makes a killer shad bait, just a matter of pattern really. I mostly use it as a shad and craw imitator, gill if the forage calls for matching that oattern. Those are my 3 primary color patterns, and gill sees the least use.

But "IF" you fished a lake that had grass in the Fall,,,,,what would you fish ? Spinnerbait or chatterbait ?
by the way,,,,,sorry your lakes don't have grass. Suspending jerk bait on the edges!!! What do I win?

I throw chatterbaits on Rayburn in the early spring, around the grass. like someone stated above, I like spinnerbaits around laydowns and wood etc.
