Chatterbait makes a killer shad bait, just a matter of pattern really. I mostly use it as a shad and craw imitator, gill if the forage calls for matching that oattern. Those are my 3 primary color patterns, and gill sees the least use.

A Chatter bait is like a wife that won't shut up. You keep wanting to leave it but every once in while it puts out.

I throw chatterbaits on Rayburn in the early spring, around the grass. like someone stated above, I like spinnerbaits around laydowns and wood etc.
