I threw a slab at them and caught a couple small whites. But it seemed like they should have been biting better than that!

I would say yes, but it'd be easier to say for sure if the boat had been moving a little faster..

I believe what you're seeing is a hugh school of Blue Cats. The lake is absolutely full of small Blues and they have been all over the Main Lake Points and Humps.

If it's Whites, I can get excited quick. We haven't had a good White Bass or Hybrid bite in over a month.

Good Luck!

What mph is a good speed when graphing/looking for fish?

Royce,

We slabbed and caught a couple whites and I got really excited!! But they did not bite like I expected. They were on the south east hump of the pelican island points.

We're only catfishing for the past month and catching all our fish in the timbered areas of Richland Creek. However, last month we had thousands of small Blues on both Pelican Island and Windsock Point. I'm guessing that's what you saw. It's common to pick up a few small sandies in with the catfish.

I'm curious also. What is the best boat speed and graph speed for looking for fish. I'm usually idling along at about 3 MPH with the H'Bird set at about 5 on the graph speed.
