I've been fishing out there about 7-8 years but only fish it about 5 days a year and have been fortunate enough to catch 4 overs in last 3 years including one in a tourney.

None this year. Caught 4 in 2 hours last year and lost a 5th one during that span of action. All was on a spot the size of a swimming pool. It was by far and away my best trip ever to Fork as I had only caught 2-3 overs prior in 20+ years of fishing it. Went back the following weekend and caught 2 more off the same spot. Pure luck and the spot has not produced more than a 4 pounder again. Life was good for a few weeks.

My average of 2-3 per year makes me feel better now. I think I have caught as many as 4 one year but 2-3 seems more the norm. I focus a lot on shallow water so I am sure if I really fished deeper consistently I might 1-2 more per year on the head. Have had an over bed fishing and have had one on a frog. Actually think I had 2 on a frog this year but I did a dumb moved and tried to lift one in the boat by the line. First and last time I have done that.

Over the past 10 years, fishing 15-20 days/year, sometimes a little more, usually one or two/year, almost always in the Spring.

I fished Fork about 10 full days this year. 1 solid over 25.5" that weighed 7 pounds and another two that might have been close if measuring them that were 8 pounders. The previous two years on Fork think I only had 1 over, the 12, but seemed I had a bunch of 23 3/4" fish.

Also list how often you fish it. I know personally I am there probably 75-100 days per year. I am betting my total overs for year will be lower than average. I would like to know how that number of "overs" compare to all of the other lakes that you fish.

I average more out there but at 18" for an over its a lot easier. I know I catch enough 6-9lb fish at Fork that makes it worth the effort. The overs out there are just a bonus to me.

I was thinking of using the same standard (slot) on comparing the other lakes, how many over 24" do you catch on other lakes you fish. I know for me, it is no comparisson, I bet I catch most all of my 24" and over fish on Fork.
I generally get 2 or 3 a year. Have had 4 this year.

Only other lakes I have caught any over 24" if I recall correctly are Richland Chambers, Tawakoni, and Worth. Then again very few lakes have the big fish population that Fork does so its a wash.

I generally get 2 or 3 a year. Have had 4 this year. That's a good question. The numbers of 6-9 lb under fish on Fork has always been what has set that lake apart in my opinion. I can't even count the number of 23 3/4-7/8" fish I've been lucky enough to boat the last three years there. I've never fished Falcon though, sure sounds like it can (or could) compete with that group of fish. Since I bought a boat and got back into fishing 3 years ago after being boatless for 10 years, here's some estimated numbers of >24" fish. 25 days on Fork (1) 25.5" 10.5 lb 10 days on Palestine (1) 25" fish heavy 10 and (1) 24" fish 9ish, same day in January 10 days on Ft. Gibson (1) 26" fish around 7-8 lbs 5 days on Tawakoni (1) 24"ish fish 9 lbs Looks like for me, Palestine and Tawakoni tie for over 24" fish per day. I think Fork would catch up though if I got to spend more time there.

Only had one over 24" this year and it was just 1/4" over and was very skinny went 9.2 with a 12 lb head. That was on kiowa in june. Probably fished 75 days this year, had several others between 22 1/2 and 24" though. Heaviest for me this year was 9.5lbs 23" sure thought it was a dd. Pics of it are in my sig.
