You can get them anywhere on the the beachfront in Galveston when the water is clear. Key is light SE wind -less than 10 mph. Here's a link for some tips when targeting them. They are not hard to catch when they're around. We used to catch them off the rock jetties and the piers all the time.

What he ^ sez... Back home whipping was the norm for catching all sorts of fast moving schooling fish. GT's in all shapes and sizes, Tuna, Mahi, Smacks, Leatherbacks, etc...

They are real easy to catch. A lot times you can see them schooling on top. Throw anything silver or chrome that's flashy or the Betts redfish rigs. Gonna need wire leader also. Use a black barrel swivel cause they will bite the line above the swivel if it is shiny.

Thanks for your tip Cudakilla,I'm do mostly freshwater fishing,just start fish on the gulf now.Will be in Corpus Christi next Sat.Any advise where I can find fish

It looks pretty windy (E/ESE 20 mph)and the seas are rough(2.5-4'). Based on that forecast, I recommend going to the Port Aransas big jetties or Packery Channel jetties to find clean water.

I got the feeling that you are Vietnamese or at least an asian.The tip you write on cudakiller.com is excellence,I would like to meet you as a new friend,not to still your spot but maybe I can learn few thing from you.My daughter live in Corpus Christi and we know Packery channel,the Jetty and Bobhail pier.
