Lake Dunlap has been hit and miss with more misses since last winter. This past spring and summer that lake has been super slow as far as the sunfish bite. Fished Dunlap from 9am till 12:00 noon and the bite was AWESOME! Caught around 50 fish. All fish were good quality fish in the 7 to 9 inch range. Most of em were in the 8 inch range with the longest just under 10 inches. Fish were in 10 to 12 feet of water holding next to brush piles and docks. Fish were caught using bottom techniques with the bait of champions "WORMS"! The water was cloudy due to recent rains. Since I have a mess of gills to eat,all fish were released to fight again. A great morning bite on Dunlap. It just don't get any better. fish

Thanks Mike and Bob for the replies. cheers Mike: Usually you can do pretty good on the Dunlap Sunfish but this past spring/summer has been tough. nuts There were times when myself and friends of mine only caught two or three fish in three hours. hammer I can remember one day in July I caught only two fish, fishing some prime spots. bang Lately it has been picking up and hopefully we can have a super fall! dance2

Side Note: The Dunlap Rio bite has also been OFF ! blablabla

Yes Sir Andrew. eeks It has been a tough spring/summer for Rios on Dunlap. juggle Over the past years you would have no problems catching a bunch of trophy fish every time you went out. breakdance This year I have only caught four trophy fish off of that lake. nuts

Looks like they are feeding up before they disappear on you for a few months. Next couple of weeks should be fun!!

We found two docks and located fish by each. The end of the docks were in 14 feet of water main channel. thumb
