Thanks CK! Those gills are already showing their late fall/winter colors! It is also great seeing em staging on underwater structure such as brush piles!

Thanks Mike and Bob for the replies. Mike: Usually you can do pretty good on the Dunlap Sunfish but this past spring/summer has been tough. There were times when myself and friends of mine only caught two or three fish in three hours. I can remember one day in July I caught only two fish, fishing some prime spots. Lately it has been picking up and hopefully we can have a super fall! Side Note: The Dunlap Rio bite has also been OFF !

Yes Sir Andrew. It has been a tough spring/summer for Rios on Dunlap. Over the past years you would have no problems catching a bunch of trophy fish every time you went out. This year I have only caught four trophy fish off of that lake.

Looks like they are feeding up before they disappear on you for a few months. Next couple of weeks should be fun!!

Thanks Ketchn and Jamie for the replies! Jamie: Yes they are feeding before the winter sets in. The big ones are biting good right now on the lakes. 12 to 15 feet of water holding by brush piles and ledges by drop offs.

Nice Gills Chuck. Looks like they are showing their winter colors. Had a pretty good day on Mcqueeney the other morning. Also Jeff says the late afternoon gill bite is picking up.

We found two docks and located fish by each. The end of the docks were in 14 feet of water main channel.
