Has anybody had any luck with the strike king 8.0 squarebill, wondering if I need a certain rod set up to throw it, also wondering what color has worked? Thanks.

I would like to try them, but just can't see spending that much on a squarebill

I have. Man, you sure better have some STRONG line, I guess 15lb or heavier and one heck of a strong back bone rod!!!
Like fishing with a 5 lb fish already on your line!!
God Bless

if there was not a demand and they did not catch fish then they would not be made. People scoffed at others throwing big swimbaits but watch about 5 minutes of Southern Trout Eaters and not be impressed. Big baits catch big fish more often than small baits. Its just another tool.

Flip a peanut in front of a fat man and he might eat it. Flip a big 'ol cheeseburger in front of a fat man and you might get other fat men fighting to be the first to eat it.
