Also, I definitely threw a $120 10ft Dig In anchor spike into the lake in 6.5FOW across from the ramp when I didn't notice we went from hravel bottom to silt and I Sparta threw it down threw my makeshift holder and got to stare at it on my new sonar... 5ft of it buried in silt... The other 5ft of it under 2+FOW. Not a strong start to the day but boy was I able to zero my graph in picking up. 3/4" fiberglass pole veetical in the water. Maybe next time out I'll bring something clever to Dig Out my Dig In. Still a great day. Could've spent more on a guide trip and had less fun, successful outting lol

The get together did not draw big numbers, but was definitely fun.
There's some early talk of going up again next weekend--Sunday
We need some precipitation badly, the lake looked to be about 9ft low (looking at the water line/spillway on the dam)

Early forecast shows a stable south wind sunny weather pattern all week.

I probably won't get to make it back out there for a few weeks sadly. When I do though, I'm finding those deep schooling fish again and I'm going to reach out and say hi!

Wish I had gps on my sonar to mark the bridge once I snagged into it there too. I could probably drop shot and long line some monsters out from there honestly...

side note: Lavon is all but shut down for big boats, us and kayakers are about the only ones able to use it, save for the few boats willing to brave the low water levels who have marina slips there I suppose. not sure if there is anywhere decent to launch with ramps being closed but I'm sure there is a short carry somewhere.

We could also enjoy hidden cove or somewhere similar on Lewisville as the water cools and the jetfleas get scarce

I sure would love to know if you'all do a Sunday outing. There are some great little lakes east of Dallas like Windsboro that would be great. I would love to hear more about the format. Please PM me any info.

Thanks!
