Talked to a couple guys at the ramp yesterday morning, they where having a little tournament. I was just curious to see how they did. Was tough fishing for us we would have only had one keeper.

Didn't hear anything about a TSU tournament. Wished they would promote it a little more. There are a lot of us alumni that fish that would come out.

Well it was tough in our boat, saw a few of them fishing the same areas we where never saw anyone boat a fish. One of the guys at the ramp said it would be less then 10 lbs to win, guess they knew how they fishing has been out there. I was trying to figure out if we were too shallow, or deep sounds like it really didn't matter.
Thanks for the info Barrett

Hey Brad, we fished Sunday also. Tough out there for sure. We tried deep and shallow, the only place we could find any was in the grass. The wife caught a few decent fish while I blanked for the most part. She pulled out the skinniest 8# I think I have ever seen.
I am not making any decisions until the bourbon kicks in!

Did you get the length on it? That looks long, our biggest was a 15"er so you had us beat by a long shot. We fished grass all over only had one bite on a fluke

1st was 11.5 and 2nd was us with 5.83. It has been tough out there for sure. We didn't even have a keeper in two days of practice! But we were able to grind it out offshore, and a 4 pounder helped for sure. We will definitley do our best to promote our club tournaments a little more. It's great to know we have alumni out there backing us!

I was out prefishing for our tournament at Ray Roberts the same day yalls tournament was. Only caught 6 fish but pulled this fish out at 8lbs 10oz. All the other were about 2 pounds a piece... Fishing here is tough but if you grind it out and stick with what you know, you will catch them! Yall should come to our tournament if you feel like getting a little revenge on the lake. Its on November 15th. There is a post on here already under here and the tournament section. Hope to see yall there!

As fun as Proctor would be I would much rather see a lake that would actually draw a few people. Squaw or PK would be fun and pretty centrally located to the college and alumni base Would defiantly be something that would be a lot of fun for Homecoming weekend or the likes, to get a lot of people involved.

Just joking about Proctor, but I would be interested if it's something you thought could be put together. Be glad to help.

We are both TSU Alumni and would definitely be in on a Tarleton Tournament!
