My jig stays horizontal when dead sticking and angles up and down according to if I'm pulling or lowering line.
I'm constantly watching my jigs just below the surface to see what particular rod/line twitches, thumps, etc create as far as lure movement. Never have seen my jigs hanging down and they certainly have fantastic movement with a loop knot.
Belinda's lures all float which might help them stay horizontal???????? I'm not going to claim to know something that I don't noidea roflmao
I've had a few others tell me they also use the palomar knot and adjust it after catching a fish or hanging up so that the lure is hanging straight out.

Do what you have confidence in cheers thumb

I'll do a test next time I get out, soon I hope, with the same line, jig head and lure and see side by side the different of the lure action. I did this back when I learned about using the loop knot here on the forum a couple of years ago and liked the way it moved. If I had one of those handy dandy little GoPro cams, I could record the results wink
