I just turned it off and there are multiple ads. Shell and Citi credit card offers, Academy etc.

Guides advertising in the catfishing section is allowed per TFF rules. Just don't click on the post if you don't like it. That's what I do for the ones that spam it daily.

they did it to help newbies , and it would drum up business at the same time. Now that the cheap price gouging is the standard on "seat selling" . They mostly advertise elsewhere.

Kinda Cracks me up to see a guide report on TFF that says go to face book to see the pic of the 10 lb fish from 3 weeks ago trip... oh well

It's not a post thing. You get hammered by multiple ads by just logging on to this (and many other) sites.

First, not everyone is trying to make a living fishing. Just trying to pay for gas and minnows. The other thing about the adds is simple, use Firefox for your browser and it will block them. It won't block adds for cheap seats, but it will block Academy and alike.

By the way never seen me on Catfishing, I usually stick to Crappie and Hybrid stripers. Just wanted to see how this post went.

But some the fact remains that some are trying to make a living. The real guide is also contributing to our forums. As in informative reports how the fish are moving and why most times. I am not a guide but I and others get tired of seeing the cheap boat seats done daily and refreshed and bumped to the top all the time. It trashs up the section makes it harder to get to the real reads. Have you ever seen a seat salesman put anything worth while in one of these post. other than how many open seats they have.Just is that not why we have a trading post.

Those cheap seats provide a service.They let a lot of people catch fish and have fun.

No just sick of this sort of thing. However if someone would ever want to TALK about this I can be found. People should know I am not the only one sick of this [censored].

I met a new employee at work one time that said he wouldn't take another cat guide trip because his first and last trip was with a seat seller. The boat of 5 strangers had a total of 9 fish. Said the guide kept telling them how big that last one was that got away. At the end of the day. they had to take there couple of fish a piece and clean them thereself. His words were. " I should have known ". People like that are now thinking that's what you get on a guide trip. And we know it's not when you go on a private trip with an experienced guide.

jjason, I never see you contribute anything but complaints. You complain on every board you are on. The so called ( seat sellers ) are real guides. I know you have a beef with capt. Larry and that's your business. You got a special section started on another site because you complained seats selling is a crime. ALL guides sell SEATS. It how they make a living. If you don't like it, don't click on it. Its real easy. Seat sellers as you call them, run 16 to 20 trips a month. How many trips do you do to become a real guide? Im a seat seller and you complimented me on another site, which I thank you for, It was very kind. The seat sellers show pics from new trips not from weeks before, Larry teaches everyone he takes as much about the sport as they want to learn. Its easy to post from your phone straight to facebook, that's why he doesn't post all of them here. You have a right to you opinion and to speak it, but I think you mainly have a problem with Capt. Larry. He is a very nice guy and does things for his customers no other guide does. When he sells a seat and the customer isn't happy he gives them a free trip, if they stii aren't happy he gives them another. Ive fished with guides for 30 years, Ive paid as much as 500 bucks for 2 people. Ive had more fun, and learned more from the seat sellers then any other guide. I became a guide because I was having a ball every time I was out there.If you had a bad trip with Capt. he will take you again for free.Ive been disappointed by a real guide ( your words ) more then a seat seller. This is just my opinion and isn't worth anymore then anyone elese's , and I not attacking anyone. I just think seat sellers are getting a bad rap. Everyone cant afford a so called real guide. IMHO
