The boat company you missed was the first to build an all composite bass boat and has been around for well over 50 years Composite materials (also called composition materials or shortened to composites) are materials made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties, that when combined, produce a material with characteristics different from the individual components. The individual components remain separate and distinct within the finished structure. The new material may be preferred for many reasons: common examples include materials which are stronger, lighter or less expensive when compared to traditional materials Pretty much all boats are composite. Just like like all foods are organic foods. Another term that people just throw around to sell a product. This would be a great poll to have on BBC to get a better picture of what boats are popular over the entire country. You also forgot Tidecraft. I have 2 of those and they are great for storing broken parts and having a nice place to grow plants in. The boat company he is referring to is, of course, Allison. Actually, most boats do have some composite construction. The key is how the composite is used. Most boat manufacturers use composite to strengthen a few areas of a fiberglass boat that is built in the same way boats have always been built. The key to composite construction is to use it as extensively as possible to reduce weight and increase strength and rigidity. A 21' Allison may way 1200#. A 21' Ranger may weigh close to 2000#. The difference in operating efficiency, towing efficiency, and horsepower requirement pays dividends in the long run.

16' lowe Big Jon with a 25hp Evinrude, 40lb.foot operated tm. wait does a jon boat count as a bass boat. I have caught bass both small mouth and large mouth from it.

No matter the manufacturer (totally your choice), if your just going to buy a boat AND have any thoughts of ever being in 'rough' water, get at least a 20' model. As for brand and manufacturer, look at as many as you can. Ride in as many as you can! Just my 2 cents,

If you took this pole on another forum in another state you would get quite different results, except for Ranger, they will be at the top.

There's ONE guy here thats going to be pissed that Allison didn't make the list No anger here..  Won't be the first time they have been left off a list. Lot's of folks have never seen one much less fished from one. At least there are a couple of lists that no other boat but Allison can make.

I am glad Skeeter is leading on the chart above because we have at least one major Dealership that is giving back to their customers! Bass Clubs of Texas(free food for all), Tackle Swap Day(free food for all), It's own Tackle/Boat Show(free parking and entry). Way to Go Fun N Sun Boats, keep up the good work and keep selling those Skeeter Boats. Your commitment to the people is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!
