Greenville. Minimum wage city.
When a plant comes to town that pays anything they lock the employees out for complaining.
Since there is no money, the homes in town are falling apart from no upkeep.

Midlothian is a lot nicer than it used to be. I swear in the late 80's they had a billboard proclaiming Midlothian the taint of Texas.

My folks moved to cedar hill in 1988. There was a little 9 hole course in Midlothian that was a former nudist resort golf course. I showed up one day, and the guy running the place came running out of the clubhouse carrying a rifle. He said he would be right back. he jumped on a golf cart and took off. I went in the clubhouse, and heard about 5 shots. He came back in, and asked how he could help me while still holding the rifle. I said that he had to let me know what he shot before I decided if I was going to play that day. He had shot a wild dog. Midlothian has changed a little since then.

I can't drive through Rosebud without thinking of their most famous alumni Kenneth McDuff. Gives me the creeps. From Wikipedia: McDuff is buried in the Captain Joe Byrd Cemetery, also known as "Peckerwood Hill"
