 Strange plastic...what is it?

 I found this plastic worm hanging out of the backside of a bass that I caught a while back. It looks like a Senko with a salamander head. It was white when I got it out of the fish and then a couple of months later it turned green again. Does anyone know what this is or if it catches fish well?

Well apparently bass can pass plastic. I wonder what happened to the hook.
