Just wanted to see everyone's opinions on which brand rods they use. My favorite techniques are frog/flipping and drop shot/shaky head. There are way to many brands out there to try all of them and just wanted a little advice which ones are more realiable and better to use. thank you

You'll get as many opinions as there are brands. I like Power Tackle rods for the heavier applications. I'm not a finesse guy so can't help you there.

Reviews will help some but the best advice I can give is buy the best within your budget. Of course the guys that spend $300 on a rod will say you have to have that brand as will the guy that spends $40 on a rod and catches fish.
I know it isn't much help but you will be just as confused by asking for opinions. Just like which truck is better FORD or chevy?
Good luck

I like Falcon Rods. They have a few different models at different price points so you name the price and they probably have the rod. I love the Caras but don't have many since they are pretty high, but the Bucoo series are also great. I have a few of these and you can find the less than $120

I am a big fan on a 7' duckett ghost medium-heavy for shakey head. I also like Ducket ice Medium-heavy for shakey head.

I have a few of these and you can find the less than $120 Falcons for me as well, for flipping, t and c-rig, jig and finesse. Spinner and shallow cranks are All Star rods,

Dobyns they have a 150.00 dollar line of rods a 250.00 dollar line of rods and a 350.00 dollar line of rods. I believe you can fine what ever you are looking for in your price range and all three have the rods you stated.

Thanks for the advice. Been looking at the falcon rods but had somebody tell me the other day that a lot of people have been bringing them in for breaking at the handle so wasn't to sure about them after that. Ill take a look at the dobyns, not really sold on the duckets.

Tackle Warehouse had or has a reel demo program. Might check with them and see if they do for rods also.
