Hi All,

We're wanting to drag the fifth wheel down to Caddo this weekend. Can anyone recommend a nice RV campground on the lake? We're planning to stay Friday and Saturday night. Texas or Louisiana woule be fine We like to stay as close to the water as possible.

Thanks.

Potters Point Marina, right next to prime fishing areas.

Thanks for the feedback. She's checking on the State Park, but said it might be full. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel triple slide so it's too big for some of the spots.

She's calling Potters Point Marina to check with them.

Anyone have experience with Backwater Jacks? Might be a couple of spots open there.

Thanks Much.

I need to buy some land and open a RV park on the river. Anyone want to invest?

Oh yeah I totally forgot about Backwater Jacks. It is kind of up the bayou a bit further toward Jefferson so you may have a bit of a boat ride to the main lake. It is very clean and they have a good number of RV sites. Bathrooms/Showers are very clean there and have combo locks so only folks using the place can get in 'em. They have a nice boat ramp but no docking. you would need to pull yer boat out of the water at the end of the day. They don't really have any groceries or supplies there either but could be a good spot for you.

Thanks All!! We were able to get the last spot in the state park. Fish must be biting banana

I've been on Caddo one time in my life in a buddy's boat. I'll be taking my own boat this weekend. We'll be looking to catch anything that will pull on the line and keep the 7 year old busy. We got some tips on Fork sand bass Sunday morning and that kept her busy for awhile.

I'm doing my best to turn her into my fishing partner. grin

To keep your 7 yr. old busy take some cane poles and get some crickets. Just go up the river into the lake around the cypress trees and catch bream. If you can find a bed of them you can fill an ice chest and the 7 yr. old will have a ball. Good eating too.

Thanks Slim,

That's a good idea and something I'm planning. We should be able to locate some bream and have a good time. Also thinking minnows and corks around the trees might catch a few bass or crappie.
