I am targeting large bass in Lake Arlington
what is the proper way to retrieve a 6" swim bait?
do you jig it , or steady retrieve

I tried finding video on You Tube, but couldn't find what I wanted

Very slow retrieve and twitch and keep that up, find grass or where there is structure. Check out kcinjectionbaits for big swim baits.

For the best answer on swim baits, I would go to tactical bassin.... Supermat on here always has great videos

I'd be very interested in knowing how it works out Butch. I've been throwing big swimbaits almost exclusively for a few months now but never in lake A.

If you are targeting large bass in lake Arlington you will have to bring some in first. LOL

I try different retrieve methods. If fast doesn't work ... slow it down. If they don't go for that I might try "jerk, 2 turns of the reel, jerk ...". If 1 method doesn't work today, it might fool them tomorrow. But what the heck do I know, I'm just trying to catch fish.

Bobby Lane designed grass pigs. Try both slow and fast paced steady retrieves

we need to go out
when I started my quest, the lake record was #10 plus
now it is 13 now
I thought I could have lucked out & caught a 10, but I am pretty downhearted now
