I've heard thru some folks a few of you guys asking about a Cat Tournament? We would like to have a few this fall and winter. Please give us the info and what weekends are the best time.

Come on guys..... I'm here cause some of you asked about a tournament..... I never thought I see the day the good old cat-fishermen would act like the bass tournament guys..... Lol J/K... But anyhow ideas for fall/ winter tournament..... We have caught big cats at most all tournaments... And remind Johnny broke our lake record here at palestine at the first tournament he came to.... We have Catfish and we have fun....

Im here, biweekly wont work in my opinion but do one a month from December to March and I think some guys will show.

Or just do ONE BIG BLOWOUT tournament this winter instead of having 5-10 teams every month have some guaranteed prize money...say $2500 guaranteed first place prize....make entry at least $150, do some local advertising and there ya go

Thanks a lot for the info sorry for the delay was out of town hunting.... I like the big tournament idea....I'm gonna do some checking and call a few folk I know about some Sponsorship and we will see what we can do.... What month would be the best ? I will also cook some deer chili that day....!! Thanks again.

I'd say December about the 2 nd week seems like that months open if you make it a 2 day tourny you may get more local sponsors since most guys would need rooms fuel and places to eat

I'll try to get it all together that quick....?? If we gonna do a big one..... One thing about me is I'm a perfectionist and it will be BIG!! No guarantees but I might be able to do a first prize more than 2500?? I have a few heavy hitters who may be interested in a good sponsorship and might be able to have a radio station advertise and have a live set at the store that day? I WILL FO MY BEST and I'll keep you all posted on what I come up with....

Sounding good , avoid these dates and the 2015 cabelas tourny and you should be able to do it whenever but I'd say between dec to march 15 for best turnout and biggest stringers , it's a Great Lake there will be some toads caught if you build it they will come lol get the money right and people will come

A two day jackpot tournament would be fun. If the money is right there will be plenty of teams show up, and I really like the idea of having a radio station out there to give a live show at the weight in. Im excited to see what you can come up with, this could turn into a yearly tournament if it's done right.
