Anyone have any luck catching striper on topwater in Canyon Lake lately? Should this be the best time of year to get a shot at striper on topwater?

 Got into the striper/hybrids on twok a few times this spring. Recently moved down to boerne. I've read that canyon lake can produce good striper but I really need to find 'em shallow for a shot with my fly rod. Sure is fun catching a good striper on the fly!
