I'll defend my statement. If you read carefully, I asked your purpose for posting. Were you simply pointing out the fact some guys sacrifice a lot to fish or are you whining. If you're offended, then maybe you actually do fall into the latter category. If you were simply stating facts about fishermen and the amount of dedication it takes to be successful at that level then I'm not calling you a whiner at all.

Here is my take on why this forum gets "aggressive" sometimes. There are two extremes of people in here. There are the laid back, fish for fun guys and then there are the balls-to-the-wall competitive fishermen. Those two do not at all understand each other very well which leads to us not tolerating each other very well either. Being a very competitive person, I have little patience for anyone that can't appreciate a winner. A winner works very hard and makes sacrifices to win (in any sport) and deserves tons of respect for doing so. I get frustrated when I hear people almost talking down towards a winner.

Sad. They fill the fields all over the country...but for some reason here in Texas we don't show up. You would think being the biggest state, better economy, bigger "Texas attitudes" will fill these events. Been that way for years.

Oh and they went back to TB and Rayburn cause the other times they tried other lakes it sucked more. Well....besides the Falcon Hey Day and Amistad Hay Day before that....but they suck now.

Go with the tried and true....TB and Rayburn.....been drawing the crowds since the 70's year in and year out.

Personally I think they are big enough lakes you can find your own fish (especially TB) and beat any stick you want....but you gotta put in every weekend down there. You can't prefish for 4 days and expect rewards against guys who fish it weekly. smile

I'm a retired Stren guy. smile LOL!

After spending 11 years in the CFL I can assure you I don't a offend that easily. I joined the site for fellowship and that is not what I'm finding. Have a 320 lb guy spit in your face to try to draw you offsides and talk about ur mom and I can assure you questioning me on a website doesn't bother me. Strangely the guy that called me a moron is "TFF Team"...apparently not a team I'm interested in joining.

Oo man let's all get along lol. What happened to the good Ole days like when Dave ran bass n bucks. Now bass n bucks has 15 boats it used to be 200. It seems like an ever start event on rayburn would consistently do good

I used to gripe about all the big events in East Texas but I do not anymore because when a trail goes out there they fill the field or almost do! When they come to DFW or Texoma they have to scratch and claw to get enough boats to have a decent field. The numbers do not lie! I do not care how you feel about spreading the trails around! Every big trail out there has tried it only to have the DFW guys not show up that is a fact. Too many events has something to do with it! Why would the all of the East Texas guys want to leave their home lake when almost every other weekend there is another solid event to fish? Champs, TXTT, Platinum, Rayovac, BASS, BFL and whatever other trails fish Rayburn and T Bend! The combination of the DFW guys sitting at home and many of the locals in East Texas not caring to leave their home waters makes events in the DFW area a risky business decision.

I didn't sat I didn't hammer

But please don't tell my preacher. You have no idea, CFL was like minor league hockey after drinking 20 red bulls. Guys would do ANYTHING to get an NFL scout to notice them

How was it a good thread to start with? Every time someone mentions the word Rayburn. People get pissed off and start hollering "damn locals" or "cheaters" or "guides". And 90% of the time they have no idea. It never ends pretty.
