The bite was pretty slow this morning actually. We got on the water and fishing around 8:30. We ended up keeping 14 nice slabs. Had to cover a lot of territory to get them. All caught on my hand ties. My wife was using a jig I call 2 Peso Gold. She caught two to my one. I was fishing various color combinations to see if they would hit something else. It was a great day to be on the lake. Very little wind and the temperature didn't get too bad until about lunch time. We called it a day about 12:30 and loaded up before the bass tournament guys started coming in. Johnsons Park was packed with a rather large tournament going on today.

The water temperature is still 82 + on Pines. The lake is down about 1 1/2'. We need some more cool weather and rain!!! The fall bonanza is just a few short months away!!!!
