After a couple months of research I finally decided to drill holes into the ole Jackson Cuda 12. This was a very hard thing for me to do, but I think it is going to work out. I wanted a transducer mount that was cheap, easily removed, low drag, and would break away should I hit a stump or get it hung on something. I think I accomplished all of this for $15 bucks. I have not had this on the water yet so it is not battle tested yet. I will update if I have to change anything. All of these parts were bought at Lowes. Here is a list of all the parts and a few pictures. by yakinjunkie, on Flickr by yakinjunkie, on Flickr by yakinjunkie, on Flickr by yakinjunkie, on Flickr

Good job!I mounted mine in the back. I did'nt want to drill any holes on kayak so I used existing rudder and skeg holes to bolt up mount. I did drill through rear hatch cover for the wire and used Hobie wire grommet. Its adjustable so if it hits anything it will just fold up.

That is a unique mount there. I really like the no drilling of holes. I had to have something I could remove in seconds for dragging through rivers.

I went to Ace Hardware and bought a $6 piece of angle aluminum. I used my hack saw to cut it down and drilled holes to match my skid plate. The bracket mounts under my skid plate and is held by the 3 existing machine screws, so no holes drilled in boat. Worked out quite well. Transducer folds up against the hull for transport.

How did you run the cable through the hull?

How did you run the cable through the hull? I didn't. My Predator has a full length tank well and molded plastic grab handles. I just ran the cable up under the grab handle and into the tank well. It sits in the molded hull ridge off to the side and I zip tied the extra under the seat. The "collection", heh. 3 Old Town Predator 13's and a Santa Cruz Raptor.
