Cleaning up an old SD card not many pictures on it, but figured I'd post em before deleting. I need to take more snapshots with my Onix, blows the 1198 out of the water! Yall be sure to share any sonar pics you got laying around!

Pre-Fishing tournament on Fort Phantom...

We marked these fish on that little ledge and since we didn't mark a lot of other fish, we planned on starting the tournament there the next morning....well Greg Pavur was sitting on it before we could get there...he ended up with Big Fish off that spot...

Few fish on Lake Arrowhead...nothing real big

Good Bait

Random, not much of nothing photo

I didn't think these were catfish...so I threw out an anchor and wore out the 5-8 pounders! Guess they were!

Never really knew what all these little fish on right were??? Any guess??

One throw with the cast net and I had all the gizzard shad I needed for 3 trips!

Here is a photo from the Onix right out of the box before I did any tuning....Coming out of a Marina that's what all the junk is

Another picture from Onix before it was tuned...I have the chart speed at 5, if I turn chart speed down to 3 the picture gets REAL GOOD!

I'm gonna miss her....

Great pictures! What size SD card do you recommend for this? I need to go buy a card (or two?) for my bird...And,can you do your periodic updates on the same card as your screenshot card? or is best to keep those separate?

I use a separate card for updates, you can just buy a cheap small card for the updates. The one I keep my pictures on is a 64.

I'm gonna miss her....

Not sure if I'm understanding. Are you getting rid of the 1198 si and replacing it with a new 2d type fish finder? Or are you keeping both on your boat, because that seems to me like a step down instead of up. The Onix is the new touch screen type fish finder but it doesn't look like it has side imaging on it but I'm not familiar with them ... Just going by what I just read on them as the transducer looked like it only had 2d capability. Any info would be great... thanks

Tiny, I've had the Onix 10 SI model for about six months. It's definetly an upgrad over the 1198 I had. Here is a link to the finder, what really seperates this from the 1198 is the DIGITAL signal. The last two photos above were taken with the ONIX unit....This finder has a ton of cool features! http://www.humminbird.com/Products/ONIX10ci-SI-Combo/

I'm gonna miss her....

cool smokey
Thanks, Wonder if Lowrance is already reverse engineering the new digital si like they did the original hahaha... I'd almost bet they are and about to release their own digital si. That's how they acquired the technology the first time ... figure they decided to pay them off in the law suit rather than lose all that market share.
