I just snelled some hooks for my big fish rods and am considering putting a drop of super glue on them. Do you guys ever have one come untied? I did a good test pulling on line while holding hook seems very solid.

Tom, I actually remembered how you showed me to tie them. You should post your YouTube on how to tie them on the forum. Better yet all these guys should go on a trip with you and learn the easy way to do it.

A good snell hook is all that is needed, I would think that the chemicals in the glue could cause line to get brittle but not entirely sure on that

Pretty good chance Tom learned from this forum as well  No super glue is needed the more tension applied the tighter it gets

Open a fresh tube of Super glue and you'll also notice some eye-stinging vapors. This would keep me from using it.

Got to try my snell hooks out today . Caugh 6 nice catfish. No super glue.
