Got out today from 11 - 3. Tried several spots and found & caught fish on most in 8 - 18 FOW. Started at Flag Pole Point, just a few here. Then went over to No Name Hump & Merimac Point, marked a lot of fish at both places but had a hard time talking any into biting. Next went to Spillway Hump and stayed there most of the day. Caught fish on both #4 Mepps and #6 Panther Martin, but the PM more consistently got bit. Ended the day with around 40 fish.

Tried a slab today just for grins but couldn't get a bite. I'm am absolutely no where near Dennis Christian status but I've sure been able to catch a ton of fish using his in-line spinner technique...

Pic of the only hybrid below:

Thanks for the report. I was stuck at the house today. I've been out on a couple of short outings since my last report. Still trying PM and PM replicas. If I'm really into fish, It doesn't matter - they catch as well as Mepps. But when fish aren't as thick, Mepps still does better. At one spot I could only catch em with a #2 Mepps.

Thanks for sharing the story and the photos. I caught a couple sandy's from my dock, and a blue cat on a mepps. I do have about 25 gar visiting my dock light on a nightly basis. They are pretty cool to watch. I'm thinking about getting an underwater light so I can see all the action better. Anybody know of an inexpensive option for that?

How's the new boat working out? I'm the one that looked at it when you got it home.
