I am also here in Korea (for an oil company not in the service) and from what I have found there are no price breaks on anything big ticket wise. I have found some Yellow Magics for $6-7 but not much else, Lucky Craft lures are just as expensive or even slightly more. For the most part it is all carp fishing and sectional rods. The only bait casters I have seen have been the Shimano DC ones which are more high end than I fish with. I would love to find the Dobyns factory for a tour.

If you somehow decide that Ulsan may have better tackle stores don't bother, I've checked them all out.

I know of at least one 'Largemouth' over there. Might need a donut-shaped lure though.

90-91 for me. I didn't know there was anything to do but work, over there. But even back then they had tours going to the tackle place. I never went though.
