Someone was yak'ing on Bachman this morning. Saw them put the yak in the water around 7:30'ish this morning, and was wondering if it was a TFF'er? If so, how about a report. Looked like he was geared for bass.

Thanks for the report musiclife_7 Rudy, that wasn't me, but I'll be headed there this or next Sunday maybe--will send you a report after I go.

I'll be out there either Saturday or Sunday next weekend to pre fish for an upcoming tournament!

By next weekend, with the temp highs in the 80's and night time lows in the 60's, they should begin to stir in earnest. Good luck on the tourney!

PS-MAYBE a crappie or two might get the urge to move shallow and feed as well, LOL.

Hit the Lemmon Avenue bridge nearest Walgreens and much to my surprise did NOT find any bass(1 hatchling) but my white rooster tail DID entice 3 dink crappie on my first 3 casts, then got 3 more solid thumps, and caught one hatchling black bass. Fished a little less than an hour. As I was leaving the bass started busting shad on surface on other side of the lake, by the bridge. Shad are thick up around the bridges. I KNOW there are some big crappie up there but I did not switch to jigs, cause I still had hopes of finding some respectable sized bass.

Hit it for a half hour this late afternoon, again looking for bass, again found A as in ONE crappie. Walked the Denton Rd levee. Still no bass of consequence, and did not see any shad like last week. Fished from 5 to 5:30 PM., then had to leave for work.

Again on a rooster tail as I was once again in search of ole bucketmouth.

Gonna jig and bobber the Webb Chapel Bridge behind Whataburger tonight after 10 PM.

Was a bust. Lots of shad smacking surface, occasionally a much bigger splash in their midst. Brush/debris pile is sizeable. I ended up donating a couple of brand new Walmart jigs to the limbs under the surface. They did not want plastic on Monday night. It won't be long, I assure you.

OK, I saw one bass buster type boat heading to the ramp this afternoon, around 4:30, and I saw a trailer parked that probably had a jon boat on it, but did not see it out on the water. Either way, I would appreciate a report if either of you is a TFF'er! Been trying to get my V hull on the water but my work schedule has been killer recently and there just is no time!

Took my bass buster out today (Saturday) from about 10:00 AM to noon. Caught three crappie (one keeper-size) down by the dam on a 1/16 chartreus roadrunner with white/chartreus crappie thunder on it. Caught two little bass on topwater along the west bank, and a little bitty bass on the roadrunner down by the runway lights. Didn't really try under the bridge for long - but that looks like fish heaven.

Went back to Bachman in my bass buster Sunday for 1.5 hrs. Fished the structure by the dam the entire time. The good news - wound up with 14 crappie off of jigs. The bad news - only one of them was big enough to keep. Two others were close enough to measure, but the rest were clearly too small. Had fun and will be back!

Jig color didn't seem to matter much. 1/16 chartreuse roadrunner with pretty much any color jig worked. I'd catch a couple on one jig, then stop getting bit until I switched plastic bodies. Then I'd catch a couple more and have to switch again. Weird.

My fish finder wasn't working, and I knew I didn't have much time, so I just stayed in one spot even though they were all little. When I get my fish finder fixed / replaced I'm going to have to look around for new spots.
