Going to do some fishing on Alvarado later this week, just curious if anyone has fished out there lately and has there been any luck? Thanks!

Tough lake in the summer. I haven't been all summer, but your best bet is nearly always at the dam. LOTS of cover at the dam. Good luck.

What do you mean by cover? The metal catwalk thing or the drop off?

Thanks. I'm going out in the morning see if I can get something. Just put a Lowrance on my little boat today, ready to try that out anyway!

Try on the very SE point of the lake where its kind of rocky. I had some luck over there early this week on a Texas rig. What tournament are they having on Alvarado? I wouldn't even think they would have tournaments there

been a while since I went, we killed them out there July 4th though. Heat wasn't stopping the bite at all... primarily stick tot he damn, that rocky bluff across form it and that cove behind it since that is where my friend's brother lives. Great little lake, wish we had something just like it a bit closer to Allen.
