Would you try after this cold front? I haven't been out in a few weeks and since this is my first year working offshore structure I have no idea how far these fish move. Just wondering what depths you guys would try, I'm going out in the morning figured I would start in 8-10 ft. I know I can catch some fish on docks, but looking to stay off the bank.

Personally I think the water temp is the same which is the main driver on migration. (I am FAR from an expert) but I don't think the water temp has changed enough to really push them up shallower or even into the backs of creeks, like we will see in the next month or so. As long as these "cooler" temps stick around, a few more weeks it will be good. I think they are going to be right where you caught them last time you went out.

I don't own a bama rig I did a threw it in the trash only thing I could catch on it were sandbass. I hope they are still out there off shore the water temp has dropped about 7 degrees since I fished last water temp is 78 right now. I honestly figured with the inch and a half of 60 degree rain last week it would drop more.
David back seat it open tomorrow if you want to come show me how to catch them on the a rig. Be fishing 9-2ish

Maybe I need to start out at 12-15ft and adjust from there, I just really figured they would be moving back to the creeks with this big change.

We fished Alvarado this weekend...(shallow-ish lake)....we launched at 645 water temp was 88...we weighed in at 3...water temp was 77....all our fish were caught in 3FOW or less...we ended up pounding the bank all day....not sure if that helps. We were culling by 10am...

The bites were soft "swim away" bites...not attacking. Hope it helps.

Fished Arlington this morning. Caught 2 nice ones in 1 foot of water and missed a couple more. They were hanging right at the edge of the shoreline. Used spinner and chatter bait. Both hit as soon as lure hit the water. Didn't even get to start the retrieve

IMO...."cold" fronts don't affect bass this time of the year as much as they do in the spring....I'd just fish the same way you did a few weeks ago...maybe a little shallower, due to the water cooling off...

Thanks for the offer Brad, but I'm stuck at work all week. Heading to east Texas this weekend. I hear there is a big thing going on at Fork all weekend and it should remove most all the pressure on some of favorite waters out that way so I'm gonna sneak in while all the locals are gone and back door them!
