Is it to early to fish for flounder off 18th st pier? I was there 4 weeks ago and caught a rat red, 3 croakers and a 20'' black drum. I plan to go next weekend and fish for redfish and flounder.
Thanks

They may not be running strong yet but you'll for sure catch some if you are targeting them specifically. When I fish for flounder, I very rarely catch anything else. No offense but if you are catching other species I think maybe you are not doing it right? You might need to slow down and cover more water.

There is a link in my signature. There are some articles I wrote. One is about flounder fishing which might be useful to some. Enjoy!
