After 700 posts and since the last page doesn't show up on the WHS forum, let's do it again.

Pics from today.

Had a few 'sodas' left.

My oldest boy and first grandbaby. No, that's just marker on her chin.

Next to speckled trout those are MrsG's favorite. A little salt, a little lemon pepper, a little Lawry's, a lot of garlic, a sprinkle of parsley flakes, steam for 12 minutes, and she is one happy woman.

Nice catching MrG, and you to F4F

Not sure what a WHS forum is, but let the banter continue. Short week coming up, maybe I'll get out there and get the kids on some fish.

Can you say "Perfect day"? Could not have been better. I took Levi and a couple of his buddies, that dbones should know, out today for Levi's birthday. One had never caught a fish but the other was a pro. Said he learned everything from dbones.

Bait was easy at the bubbles. We checked one old reliable spot that hasn't been holding any fish and lo and behold found a small school. Picked two up there, one being the kid's first fish ever and the only keeper, and then they were gone.

Left for the spot we found them late yesterday and found them stacked. Caught hybrids steadily for at least an hour before they moved on. Mostly short but the kids definately stayed busy. I was sweating just keeping hooks baited. Managed 6 more keepers out of that school.

My eagle-eyed daughter spotted some birds working so we pulled anchor. We got upwind of them and set up a drift. Caught about four and put one more in the box.

Ended the day with 8 hybrids to 5lbs and 4 12"+ whites. Had to have thrown back at least 25 16-18 inchers. They were in 36-42'.

May what a day!!! Now I have to cook fish. Grease is getting hot as I type.

How are things in Tiger Land dbones? Here in Panther Land its time to look for a new place to work. On the good side I get to start my fishing season now that football is over. I'm going to be on either Whitney or Belton this Wednesday.

Good job MrG. Get all the kids you can hooked on fishing. It will keep them out of trouble. I hope to get my girl out one more time before she leaves this weekend. She had a blast the other day. Good luck today Swiper Striker.

One of these days, when I grow up, I will get to go work-um again!!! Or at least when I get time, this hunting thing is putting a damper on my fishing thing. Boat should be back soon. Mr. G you are going to have to put someone in the boat that can help you clean those cans, once they are gutted!! LOL!

W4F, I needed more than luck today. Only caught one LM. Got bait super easy. We drifted, we trolled, we slabbed, we fished under the birds, nothing. I think MrG caught everything yesterday. Oh well that's fishing.

You too yellowcat. Be safe and harvest something. Let me know if you need help.

Heading out to Belton tomorrow, any suggestions? It's gonna be a daughter / Dad day.
