Next to speckled trout those are MrsG's favorite. A little salt, a little lemon pepper, a little Lawry's, a lot of garlic, a sprinkle of parsley flakes, steam for 12 minutes, and she is one happy woman.

Can you say "Perfect day"? Could not have been better. I took Levi and a couple of his buddies, that dbones should know, out today for Levi's birthday. One had never caught a fish but the other was a pro. Said he learned everything from dbones.

Bait was easy at the bubbles. We checked one old reliable spot that hasn't been holding any fish and lo and behold found a small school. Picked two up there, one being the kid's first fish ever and the only keeper, and then they were gone.

Left for the spot we found them late yesterday and found them stacked. Caught hybrids steadily for at least an hour before they moved on. Mostly short but the kids definately stayed busy. I was sweating just keeping hooks baited. Managed 6 more keepers out of that school.

My eagle-eyed daughter spotted some birds working so we pulled anchor. We got upwind of them and set up a drift. Caught about four and put one more in the box.

Ended the day with 8 hybrids to 5lbs and 4 12"+ whites. Had to have thrown back at least 25 16-18 inchers. They were in 36-42'.

May what a day!!! Now I have to cook fish. Grease is getting hot as I type.

You said the solunar tables called for a major bite today + we have stable weather pattern almost always leads to a great day fill'n the cooler thumb. You sure are getting lax about boat crew dress code. You should have made him wear it insideout. lol Glad ya had a great day cheers. Talk to you monday.

I am just mad because Levi didn't invite me to his b-day party.....see how much playing time he gets tonight at Cove. LOL. Sounds like it was a perfect day. If there were pics posted I cant get them. If there was one in a sooners shirt I know who he is. Am sure he talked non stop all day. Kid never shuts up.....

How are things in Tiger Land dbones? Here in Panther Land its time to look for a new place to work. On the good side I get to start my fishing season now that football is over. I'm going to be on either Whitney or Belton this Wednesday.

One of these days, when I grow up, I will get to go work-um again!!! Or at least when I get time, this hunting thing is putting a damper on my fishing thing. Boat should be back soon. Mr. G you are going to have to put someone in the boat that can help you clean those cans, once they are gutted!! LOL!

W4F, I needed more than luck today. Only caught one LM. Got bait super easy. We drifted, we trolled, we slabbed, we fished under the birds, nothing. I think MrG caught everything yesterday. Oh well that's fishing.

I hope you catch some fish. also be safe. I do not have any suggestions. because i have not been on the water in about 4 months. when it sarts getting hot in the summer my fishing is about done and i for sure will not be on the water when it is cold.
