Searching opinions on which bass net you like best. My priorities are that it's light and dips through the water with ease so that if it's a solo tourney I can one hand it no problem. Please be specific if possible with brand and style so I can check it out. Thanks!

Problem with the slider is the handle will get bent and very hard to open. It also breaks off at the screw in connection to the head. Mine lasted about three years before it was trashed last weekend.

Frabill Hibernet. Once retracted it sits next to your rods and out of the way, when you need it just slide the collar forward and the net pops out of the end. I bought the regular size first and loved it so I bought the large size. Have used both extensively for the last 12 years or so with no issues. Will replace the large one immediately if anything ever happens to it.

Got the EGO S1 Genesis as a replacement for the S2 Slider. Too many issues with the extending handle.

I've liked the Ego 2 Slider, but I've only had it for 6 months, so I can't speak to the durability issues others have mentioned.

To the OP I got a Frabil net for 20$ at walmart I believe that weighs almost nothing has short 3ft handle and a large net with some quality netting would make a great net for solo fishing. I keep it as a back up in boat

I also fish by my self and weight matters most to me. I also want one that they can't get out of. Results --- a cheap $7 or $8 aluminum the kind you used when you were a kid. Your hooks will get tangled quite a bit is the only problem. Put some foam in the handle and it will float.

Frabill Hibernet. Large enough for 10+fish and you can store it in a rod box Without it tangling. It's also the most expensive but well worth it. The long handle means you can get it under a fish that's four feet out. You can also close it up & kill varmits .
