Here's my report for JP. If I was fishing a tournament out there, I would finish in last place. That's all I know about Joe Pool Lake

The original schedule for the September tournament for the West division called for Lake Ray Hubbard, but due to dangerous lake conditions, the site for the tournament was moved to Joe Pool. Ed Penton made a good call to move the tournament, slot lake or not, in order to make sure that safety of our student anglers was not put into jeopardy. Yes, we want all of our teams to have the best day possible, fishing wise. But when it comes to their safety, we (the THSBA) will always err on the side of caution.

I'm not gonna lie to the kid fishing is pretty solid out there right now I've caught them shallow and deep just fish slow if I was you I would spend a ton of time graphing for bait fish and look at maps for off shore stuff.

I disagree with Tyler, fishing slot lakes IMO really challenges even the best anglers. Joe Pool, Fork, and Grapevine are all great fishery's. And the only way you can "run away" with the tournament is by catching an over. Which can be a challenge for some.
