The big Blues are really starting to roam. Some guys cant get away during the day, so I'm going to offer some night trips. 4 Fisherman 300.00. I will furnish all tackle, bait and ice. We will fish from 6pm till Midnight. The times are flexible for each group. I will work with you too make sure the time is good for your schedule. The night time bite is really good right now so call to book. We will target the big boys, but will catch some eaters as well. Lavon is a corps lake so you clean your own fish. This month should be stellar for night time blues.

Whats this mean ?? Is there a law against it ?

Corps took all cleaning stations out, I heard they thought the guides cleaning fish was polluting the lake. They don't want us cleaning fish. Clients can clean fish we cant.

As I understand it, you can clean fish, but have to haul off carcasses.

Well the highest I have ever paid for a clean your own fish trip is $50.00 and thats
the most i would ever pay for a clean your own fish trip.

We have 50.00 trips every day, these are night trips, every guide I know that cleans the fish charges 125.00 or more. We do our best to have trips for everyone. The night trips are something I started by request from customers. There are some guys that cant go in the mornings, and cant afford the 125.00 afternoon trips for some. Everyone has a niche, this is ours. It may not be for everyone, but for those that it works for, we are here.

I would say any fish can be a trophy if it's the biggest fish you ever caught.

We keep a lot of fish, we have clients take home ice chest full of eaters. Its up to them to keep or throw back there catch. Thanks Capt, and thanks Smoky for your input. I don't understand why this ad angered TFF members. It has been ask for by clients that have jobs that make daytime fishing a problem.

i have never been on a guide trip but dont think that price is unreasonable for 4 people at all for a night trip. i spoke to a customer yesterday said he paid 150 just for him self to go on a guided trip then got screwed the guid still has not booked the trip 6month later and kept his money. No one can garintee you catch 30lb fish, when you go out, I dont know much about trophy fishing I have never done it I alway fish to eat them. lol so I like box fish

Night fishing from any boat is fun. As far as a trophy it is all about perspective.

Now if you are constantly catching 30-50 lbs fish then this might not ending up being a trophy trip for you, however you never know when you will land on 50+. As stated above no one can guarantee you will catch an X pounder, but hey that's why they call it fishing and not catching.

As far as cleaning your own fish this has nothing to do with about being a Corp lake, they just don't have cleaning stations. Besides that cleaning fish at night is a PITA.
