For me it depends on the lake, five 14 inchers don't do much good on most the lakes around here, i usually fish to win, maybe i should change because I have not won much lately.

Limit with your confidence baits early then upsize and throw your big fish baits hopefully netting 5 kickers.

It depends on what's been winning, what lake, what time of year, etc. There are times when 5 swimmers will do good and times when it takes a kicker or two (or 5). Just got to determine what is the best way to go at the time.

If I knew what to do differently that would increase my odds of getting a limit...then I would definitely say to do that first. But since I get random results no matter what I do...I tend to just go fishing and let the chips fall where they may.

Depends on time of year man. Winter-spring usually just want to get bit and seek larger bite as water heats up summer and fall and post spawn I wanna get some active fish in morning which can be the biggest bite of day

Depends on the lake. Majority of my big big fish have come in the mid-morning afternoon time.

You would think if one knew what to do to catch a kicker then they would simply fish that way from start to finish. I just try to catch them in the order they bite in.

i like to catch the biggest last, cause they seem to like to roll over in the livewell the quickest, little guy's seem to handle the stress of being boxed up better...just my two cents...

If the lake is tough and 10 lbs has a chance to win, then a limit of keepers.
But if I am on quality fish I'm going to try and catch them.
If I bomb, oh well. Who likes to weigh in 6-10lbs anyways...

I'm with the get a limit in the boat bunch. If I'm on big fish I'm fishing for big fish. If not I'm fishing for keepers.Big fish are hard to come by,that's why they are big fish.
