Depending on whether you got a GPS fix, I might could get a buddy or two and dive for it. We used to do it around alot around docks in the Dallas area and have recovered some tackle boxes from Lewisville in front of the dam, etc... Usually charge a % of replacement value. Also, not sure about how that much water on the head would affect the electronics. we got nothing real exact and i am sure the electronics are fried anyway. I might go back and throw some brush around it, maybe we could dropshot a smallie off it in the future and get something out of that pile of junk!

That's a tough break for sure. I had a Motorguide that kept ripping apart the attachment bushings. It would take off without the boat, did it 3 times. I think Motorguide was getting bad raw material when they were making these bushings. I was just glad it didn't come loose while running the big motor.....

we just dont like ours bouncing so hard when you get into a little rough water. that can't be good for the tm. here's our answer. that baby doesn't even move anymore. strap and ram mount. looks like the answer to me

After installing my Terova, I noticed how "springy" the shaft was. I purchased the RAM mount to minimize the bounce, and now it serves to minimize accidental deployments also.. +1 on the RAM Trolling Motor Mount

I don't have a terrova, but I wouldn't run without strapping it down. I use a Velcro rod strap to the base. I always strap mine down as I do not need anymore in flight incidents

Hire a diver, find a local dive club. A couple of hundred dollars and someone would go done to get it I bet. I would, but I am a little to far away to make it worth the drive.
