Hey Goorge T if you like Bar B Que try Clem's it's inside the C Store right across the street from Kevin's.

Has anyone been to the new tackle shop in Killeen? I can't remember the name of it but, I heard an add on the radio. It is located south of town on Hy. 195. I guess I will go check it out next time I'm out that way.

F4F & W4F you guys took off to quick we moved in closer to the bank to 30 to 34 feet and it got good for about an hour.

Looks like you folks are keepin em stirred up. Sandy, that's a huge bass. They should be fattening up for the spawn pretty quick.

Like deckhand said, it was a good weekend in the panhandle chasing birds. Boy, was it cold. 21-22 degrees each morning with quite a bit of remaining snow from Wed night. It was Levi's first hunt and he hung in there like a trooper. He finally got a solo opportunity at a beautiful rooster Sun morning and dispatched him like a pro with one shot.

See ya'll on the water.

I Just Knew it!!!! We should have moved in on the Action... grin Swiper Striker, you remember what happened the last time we got close to your boat... bang Slabndeep, I thought the people who left caught all the fish in that spot... I was wrong, bet you had a great time busting jaws.. we checked the flats but nothing there, across rogers park we caught some whites and the hybrid. I thought about moving close in towards the bank but Kristy was getting cold so we moved... that didn't help her one bit, just got colder.. smirk

MrG, that's a nice pic of Levi, as that his first? Get it mounted.. My first is mounted and my sister have it in Hawaii...

GeorgeT, looking forward to meeting you, I'll be on the lookout for your craft..

Are you talking about the one up Lampasas River?

Jan/Feb would be a good time.. I think it's kind of early, but who knows with this warm weather.. I can imagine how low the water is trying to get up there with a boat..

I got to get in about 3 hours of fishin' today. Had to make a quick trip of it as my wife had surgery couple of days ago and didn't want to stay away too long.....but it sure was a pretty day and my wife being the sweetie she is, insisted I go. Only took home one keeper hybrid and one nice white bass, both caught downriggn' at 32 feet. Was getting some more hits/bites but had to get back to Austin. Hard to pull away when it seems like they're starting to bite but them home sweeties need attention too. smile Saw two other boats that looked like they were slabbin' or jiggin or such. Both at GSC. One in about 18-20 ft of water the other in about 30-32 ft of water. They were regularly boating small white bass. One fellow I saw was catching two at a time with what looked like a rig with two jigs. I was just doin' my normal trollin'. If I'd stayed longer I think I would have boated some more.
