Ok, went out this morning. Found bait, (thanks MrG and W4F) marked LOTS of fish but could not connect. Same area MrG thumb

We did boat a short hybrid and a legal LMB with the net. eek

We had trouble explaing to a 7 yr old why we could not keep them.

It was fun just catching the bait, did find out something is wrong with my baitwell, not pumping too much air. who_knows

Oh, and the water is REALLY low! Had to pick up driver on the rocks instead of the dock.

Had a great day fishing with F4F, W4F, and daughter Morgan. The bite was a little slow, but we managed to boat a few WB.
Morgan showing off her fish.

Ain't she a "cutie"

Swiper Striker, Thanks for the posting some pics. When Morgan gets up, I'm gonna tell her I seen her on the internet and show it to her.. Bet it put another big smile on her face.

Wasn't too bad being on the lake yesterday, Belton lake give us an opportunity to fish in areas sheltered from the wind. The only problem was, the fish had lock jaw, or must be doing something wrong (must be me).

As always, it was nice talking to you, MRG... and finally got to meet Sharc, was nice to have met and talk to you also.. BTW, Levi, thanks for the Hybrid..

Hey Justin, I was eyeballing that Brisket plate you had in front of you. Looks like your Dad had the same. We just got off the lake and needed some norishment for the drive home. All we caught was a few whites and a couple of LMB's. Marked a lot of fish but once again Lock Jaw.. We used shad and slabbed drifting with the drift sock out. Next time you see us/me, say hi..

Morgan enjoyed seeing herself on the internet, lol. Made her feel famous. Thanks Swiper Striker, you have to send me those pictures. She enjoyed meeting so many of the Belton Bunch also. I am glad to be back fishing but 4 hours seems to be my limit for now without hurting too much unless we stay in calmer water. The fish know that I am back and thats why they are all hiding, lol (just kidding) Justin, I wish we had realized it was you tonight and introduced ourselves. I have never seen so many balls of baitfish all over like this. Maybe they just have so much to eat right now that they can afford to be picky. I'll be glad when we figure them out again. Going to Houston tomorrow to drop off my daughter and then to Galveston to pick up some Captains chairs for the boat. Good luck tomorrow Swiper Striker.

went today and got off lake at 4 pm.... had enough of the wind... maybe should have stayed later... marked a lot of fish at 35 around sand flats and gsp but no luck today...2 smallwhites trolling the hellpet.... fish all strung out along bottom, didn't see any balls of shad.... looked around tlp and arrowhead but didn't see much... birds all floating on water or sitting on sand bar at sand flats, not active....don't know what the fish are doing... maybe 35 is where the warmest water is right now... surface temp 61 to 63 pretty muuch all over... tried lm bass awhile and didn't do anything with them either... might get to go wed. if so will post if I do any good....waydon1

Why aren't the fish biting? Went to the bubbles to get bait, even the shad was gone!!! Fished the GSC, the flats, Lawson Cove nothing. No birds flying. It's the Dead Sea. Anybody try the Bolora Area?

Next time we go out, I'm gonna bring my Aqua Vu and try to see what I'm looking on the FF. All this fish and no takers.."What's Up"

Used this contraption only once at Stillhouse Marina, I hope it still works.

By the way, one of the LM Bass we caught the other day had eggs starting to form already. I hope this warm weather doesn't mess up the spawn.
