3. PURCHASING OF INFORMATION Coaches, parents, Advisors and team members may not solicit, purchase or barter for information about locating or catching fish on tournament waters, including but not limited to GPS way points other that through resources open to public access. This will be for a 14 day period before the start of all THSBA tournaments. The hiring of a guide as a coach is not permitted unless that person has not guided on tournament water for period of 6 months. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification. This rule will be presented as question on polygraph.

I don't think asking on a public forum is anything like purchasing information

No, you can receive information via the public forum, however you can not receive any private information within the 14 day period before the tournament. And yes, asking for information follows under soliciting. And he's just trying to help remind someone of the rules so they don't make a mistake and get his team disqualified.

Tyler, appreciate your concerns, but sometimes we have to fish slot lakes. We will be fishing Fork also in the East. Not crazy about slot lakes myself. But the majority rules sometimes. Thanks Ken

Elrod, all teams had a chance to contest the placement of their school after we had announced the divisions. Also every school was invited to send a representative from their school to attend a meeting we had in Forney after the Regional championship last year to discuss the upcoming season. There were only a handful of schools in attendance. There was a school that contested their placement and we let them change. During that time we sent emails to EVERY school in the THSBA and only a few replied. I don't know what else we can do. The dates are set ,the divisions are set for this year. I hope you understand. If not you may call any of us and we will try to answer whatever concerns you may have.
Thank you Ken

It was sent to all team advisors. I believe it was Audrey? That was the Advisor last year. I don't keep all my emails but we could probably go back and research it if we needed to. Ken
