I got myself a boat about 2 months ago - 19' Aluminum Deep V- and have been tubing with the Kids a cpl times but not fishing yet. Been working on rigging it for fishing - just put on my fish finder this week - Humminbird 859 W Down Imaging. Have 10 Driftmaster style rod holders on it. Box anchors and 2 drift socks. I want to putt around for a cpl hrs setting up and learning the fish finder then fish for a cpl hrs. Thinking around 6 pm. If you are not a DBag and that sounds good to you PM Me. You could bring maybe 4-5 of your combos (I'll have 6 of my own) and tackle ( I do have my own) and bait for us if you know where to get some shad. Or we can try to find shad on Worth.

big shad are spread out on lake worth right now, but we had decent luck throwing on the east side of goat island, north and south of it, in about 12 ft of water, its easy to catch the small ones, but if you want the breeders be prepared to throw alot, ive also learned to get out to the lake before sunset, and cruise around and you can literally see the breeder shad surfacing by cruising the surface with their noses out of water feeding on algae, and they are all normally in the same area....so i would look for the surfacing shad, then drop the trolling motor, and troll around and get as close as you can, especially if youre new to your fishfinder, ive had mine for months now, and still am learning how to pinpoint a schools location based off of the imaging on my FF. and i dont seem to be getting any good at it. GOOD LUCK OUT THERE BUD!! Let us all know how you do!! and if ya ever wanna get together and wet some lines hit me up, i would be interested in going tomorrow night, but i promised my stepson that i would take him out on my boat to benbrook tomorrow night :D, also, if youre gonna hit worth, try fishing in flats close to the creek channel, in about 12-14ft, specifically the flats that are just southeast and northeast of goat island, where the creek channel goes all different ways lol thats where we had our luck last weekend for both shad and fish...biggest we got was only 30 but still a nice fish, had some good takedowns but didnt get a good hookset. also had one slam a nice size drum head, but broke the hook off the leader, that was near the army base though near the no trespassing buoys, in about 16ft of water....there were also alot of schools of shad there as well, but we only managed to land baby 2-3 inch shad in our nets there....hope this helps!!!

Well all we could net was little 2-3" shad. Didn't figure out the Sonar any as we dropped cast net off back and couldn't see it, tried large lures and couldn't see them. Tried Drifting near Island and hung up non stop and broke off 6 times.

If you go out tonight. Gimme a shout I'll probably be out there, still trying to decide if I'm gonna hit lake worth or the trinity east of dallas. But I'm leaning towards fishing worth

Nice decal, if you ever see this one on a Tuffy boat then it's me, pull up and say hello.
