shocked A couple of weeks ago,I cleaned an eater sized blue that had an extra wide head with "shoulders" of meat on it's head, like a flatty eeks ...then today,I cleaned another average eater sized blue, that had NO spots,No brownish coloration on it,but had the trademark yellow strip of meat on the top like a channel cat. Soooooo, When did catfish start cross-breeding ? cyclop Or,Has my lake been NUKED?

Did you count the anal fin spines to conferm it was indeed a blue?

If it walks I can hunt it, if it swims I can catch it.

I counted 30 rays on that one with the blue coloring and the yellow meat, but didnt check that on the "blue-flattie" a couple weeks ago...It had the forked tail of a blue, and no yellow meat, only the strange looking head on that one.

Well just saying, channels have forked tails as well, and it should be. 29 rays for a channel and. 32 for a blue. (I'm not 100% positive on the blue) but most blues have a hump in their backs.
I have caught channels like you said, but only if I was no where near a river channel, seems like the closer I am to a channel, the more I see their spots IMO
